Holocaust Remembrance Day

Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance) Event with Corrie Remembers
Sunday, April 23rd 2 - 5 pm Free Admission

The afternoon will be one of solidarity with Holocaust survivors in our community. Included will be a candle lighting prayer ceremony, remarks about the role of rescuers, comments from survivors, refreshments and a special performance of Corrie Remembers.

Better Balance & Mobility for Seniors

April 12-May 19
$120 Member/$180 Nonmember

A gentle, flowing, and progressive standing movement class designed to systematically improve full body awareness, mobility and balance. This twice weekly class is 30-40 minutes in length and open to all who could benefit from increased flexibility, dynamic balance and a novel movement practice.

"On the Map"

"On the Map", a Dani Menkin film, is a fast-moving, awe-inspiring documentary which recounts the story of hte underdog '76-'77 Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team who toppled the four-time defending Soviet Union, putting Israel firmly on the map.

May National Meditation Month

National meditation month is a positive way to bring awareness to the benefits of meditation for your mind, body and spirit. Whether you are just beginning a mediation practice or re-energizing an existing one, please join meditation instructor, Rennie Maguire in developing your systematic practice. This one day workshop uses a classical yoga method. Following a series of steps, you will learn to regulate your breath, focus your attention, quiet your nervous system, ease body tension and gradually develop inner peace.

Yom Ha'atzmaut Celebration

Bring the entire family and come celebrate Israel's 69th birthday!
From 12-3pm we will have a pool party, bouncer for the kids, volleyball, games, music and dancing! There will be Israeli "street food" and raffle drawings for great prizes!
From 2-4pm there will be a showing of the acclaimed Israeli movie "ON THE MAP" (2016) is a fast-moving, awe-inspiring documentary which recounts the story of the underdog Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team who toppled the four-time defending Soviet Union, putting Israel firmly on the map.

Aquaerobics

Aquaerobics is an enjoyable way to exercise while toning and trimming. Rhythmic water exercises are a wonderful way to keep in shape. This hour-long class takes place in the shallow end of the competition pool, which serves as an added resistance force.
