Better Balance & Mobility for Seniors

April 12-May 19
$120 Member/$180 Nonmember

A gentle, flowing, and progressive standing movement class designed to systematically improve full body awareness, mobility and balance. This twice weekly class is 30-40 minutes in length and open to all who could benefit from increased flexibility, dynamic balance and a novel movement practice.

Mom and Me* Yoga

Thursdays May 4 - June 8, 2-3pm
$80 members / $100 non-members

Nurture yourself with a yoga practice designed to help you soothe tension and regain strength while bonding with your baby. Tailored to moms with babies approximately 6 weeks to 18 months old. The poses offered in this class emphasize the special considerations postnatal bodies can deeply benefit from. Spending time with new moms is another benefit of this class.

May National Meditation Month

National meditation month is a positive way to bring awareness to the benefits of meditation for your mind, body and spirit. Whether you are just beginning a mediation practice or re-energizing an existing one, please join meditation instructor, Rennie Maguire in developing your systematic practice. This one day workshop uses a classical yoga method. Following a series of steps, you will learn to regulate your breath, focus your attention, quiet your nervous system, ease body tension and gradually develop inner peace.

Karate For Kids

Tuesday June 6 - August 8

Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of Shotokan Karate. This includes: Kata, Kihon and Kumite. Our students will learn self-defense, self-awareness, coordination, flexibility, self discipline. They will develop self-confidence, self-esteem and self-control.

42-Day Shred

Outdoor workouts Tues. & Thurs. 6:15 p.m.
Kick-off Meeting April 4 at 6:15 p.m.

Get SHREDDED! Spring into action and join us for this 6-week body transformation challenge! Our trainers Karen and Katie will push you to the limit, allowing you to put your endurance to the test and scorch excess fat in the process. With two outdoor workouts each week, body composition measurements, nutrition accountability, and group camaraderie, this challenge will take your fitness to a new level. This program is open to all skill and ability levels - Try this fun and effective JCC offering for yourself and get SHREDDED with us!

- 2 outdoor boot camp-style workouts per week
- Before/After measurements
- Nutrition accountability
- Accountability to help you reach your goals

Spring Smash 4s Co-ed Grass Tournament

8am April 30th 2017 at the JCC
Benefitting the UNM Lobo Indoor Volleyball Team

Come support the UNM Lobos and the
Jewish Community Center (JCC) all while having
fun in the sun! This competition includes entry for Intermediate
and Advanced level teams. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of
4 games (3 pool play and at least 1 single elimination game.)
Winning teams will receive great prizes!

Spaces are limited, 10 teams per level accepted.

KidFit

An invigorating class geared specifically for kids 6-12 years of age. Our expert trainer Nick has developed a cardiovascular, strength, and fitness training program with an exciting and unique approach! Your kids will be engaged in a safe and action-packed environment! Let them experience how enjoyable fitness and working out can be. Classes are 45 minutes each session, 2 times per week, for 4 weeks.
