Want to turn your body into a fat-burning machine? Wake up your metabolism with this early morning class! Tabata-SHREDDED is a High Intensity Interval training class that will burn more fat quickly while increasing your metabolism and revving your body up to face the day head-on! Come get shredded with this 2x per week, 35 min. class. See you on Tu/Th mornings from 6-6:35 A.M.! Extra Friday classes are available for those who want more! Art After School

Beginners through advanced are welcome, as projects will be taught to challenge each child at her/his own level.

This is a multi-media art class where creativity and imagination are the name of the game. Based on student interest, we will choose from: ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and painting. Maybe we will do them all! Come away with colorful 2 or 3-dimensional pieces that will make great gifts and can last a lifetime.

Taught by Celeste Boals, professional art educator, who has taught at the JCC for 5 years. She's become a favorite teacher for her patient, positive energy and encouragement.

Foam Rolling and Myofascial Release: A great way to stretch

Foam Rolling is a self myofacial release (SMR) stretching technique that has been embraced throughout the fitness industry. This effective and simple to do technique delivers positive, feel good results. Using a foam roller can deliver improvements in flexibility, muscle recover, movement efficiency, inhibiting overactive muscles and pain reduction with just minutes of application.

Children's Dance

Pre-Dance: 12pm-12:45pm
Beginning Dance: 1pm-1:45pm

Beginning Dance: (Ages 5+) Combines ballet and Jazz. Continued introduction to dance with emphasis on dance foundations, coordination, basic dance terminology, and learning dance etiquette. Dancers will develop strength, technique, and correct body placement in a creatively challenging atmosphere.

Karate For Kids

Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of Shotokan Karate. This includes: Kata, Kihon and Kumite. Our students will learn self-defense, self-awareness, coordination, flexibility, self discipline. They will develop self-confidence, self-esteem and self-control.

BARRE is a highly athletic class designed to strengthen, lengthen and tone the entire body in the most efficient way possible with minimal impact. Activated isolated training is combined with a fusion of classic ballet barre, Pilates, and explosive isometric moves. This class will work and sculpt your endurance muscles for a sleek, lean and toned physique. Each class is designed to guide participants through a highly targeted range of exercises that specifically address core, hips, thighs, arms and bum. This is not your everyday toning class!

Sunday group swim lessons run in 5 week session and classes are 45 minutes long (Parent &Tot classes are 25 minutes). The JCC Learn to Swim Program is designed to help your child learn skills from bubble blowing all the way to stroke refinement. This will include safety skills in, on, and around the water. As your child progresses through our program, they will learn specific skills that will help them advance through the five different class levels taught here at the JCC. We never let our student-to-instructor ratio exceed 6 to 1 for levels I-V.

A great way to train for personal fitness, swim competitions, and triathlons. Stroke development will be analyzed and competitive skills developed. This class is for 19 years and older. Must have basic knowledge of all four strokes.

Aquaerobics is an enjoyable way to exercise while toning and trimming. Rhythmic water exercises are a wonderful way to keep in shape. This hour-long class takes place in the shallow end of the competition pool, which serves as an added resistance force.

Fall Stroke Clinic is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm-6pm.
Participate in learning to improve your stroke technique for the next swim season. This clinic is for both boys and girls that have a beginning to intermediate swimming level or higher level.

High School Pre-Season Stroke Clinic September 6 - October 21

$125/ Swimmer

Mon-Thur 6:30pm-7:30pm
*No practice 10/3, 10/11 and 10/12 for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

This clinic is for both boys and girls to prepare for the upcoming High School swim season. Recommended for 8th grade swimmers and above. Each training session will have a goal of swimming 3,000+ yards, depending on level of experience and conditioning. The clinic will focus on:
-Stroke technique including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley
-Conditioning for all event distances in the High School swim meet format (50 through 500 yards)
-Race strategies for individual and relay events
Whether you are a new swimmer trying to improve your stroke technique and prepare for high school try-outs, or an experienced swimmer trying to achieve State Championship qualifying times, this clinic will offer a structured format and challenging workouts to help reach your goals.
