Executive Director

The Ronald Gardenswartz Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque seeks an Executive Director (ED) for a dynamic Jewish Community Center supporting the mission of “Enriching our community by practicing the values of Jewish life.” The facility is eighteen years old, serves a multi-generational membership, and includes an auditorium, early childhood development center, athletic field, aquatics complex, and state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Membership includes approximately 2300 family units. Annual budget of $4 million per year. Events and programs include music and art, lectures, adult sports, youth sports, day camp, aquatics and fitness. The JCC shares a campus with the Jewish Federation of NM. JCC is operationally fiscally self-sufficient.

JCC seeks an Executive Director who will thrive within this environment and who will bring strong leadership and skill toward moving the JCC forward. Strong candidates will have professional experience in running Jewish Community Centers or related endeavors of leadership. Candidates must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, leadership, vision, financial acumen and management experience, including leading and motivating a diverse staff. Expertise in innovative fund raising is essential, including the ability to develop and nurture donors and major gifts. The ED is required to be a dedicated advocate of the JCC's mission. The ED will lead an energetic staff in all areas of programming, and fundraising. The ED will inspire board members, partner with other Jewish agencies and community leaders; and be visible in the broader community. The ED will generate and implement new ideas to continue the growth of a thriving center. The ED will also facilitate a capital campaign as part of planning for future financial sustainability

Substitute Teachers

We are seeking substitute teachers to work in classrooms with children between 8 weeks and 5 years old. Applicants need to have a minimum of the 45 Hour Class and a HS diploma and preference will be given to those with experience and advanced degrees. Substitute positions are always available.

Volunteers Needed

Interested in a career in Early Childhood Education? Do you have a skill or talent you would like to share? Do you enjoy playing with young children? If so, we might have a volunteer spot for you at the FEC. We are seeking several volunteers to work in our classrooms and get to know our children.
