What This Workshop Is About

Pickleball is a fun, fast-growing sport—but repetitive movements, quick directional changes, and lack of proper warm-up can increase the risk of injury over time.

In Injury Prevention for Pickleball Players, we’ll focus on keeping your body strong, mobile, and resilient so you can play with confidence. This workshop will cover:

  • Education on the most common pickleball-related injuries and what causes them
  • Targeted stretches and strengthening exercises to support joints and muscles
  • Proper warm-up and cool-down techniques to reduce injury risk
  • How to recognize early signs of injury before they become more serious

This workshop is led by JCC Physical Therapist Dr. Jules Somera, with an emphasis on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term symptom management. It is suitable for pickleball players of all levels and focuses on safe, sustainable movement to support performance and longevity on the court.
