For decades, the JCC of Greater Albuquerque has been a place where lives are enriched, connections are made, and Jewish values come to life. Through the generosity and vision of our community, Mission Possible has transformed that legacy into reality.

The successful completion of our $4.5 million capital campaign has reimagined our campus with dynamic new spaces, thoughtfully enhanced existing facilities, and created an even stronger foundation for the innovative, inclusive, and life-enriching programs that define the JCC. These investments ensure we can continue serving as a vibrant hub for Jewish life, learning, wellness, and community for generations to come.

Mission Possible was driven by a bold vision: to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and create welcoming spaces that reflect the evolving needs of our community. Guided by a comprehensive assessment of our facilities, programs, and services, our leadership team and dedicated volunteers identified opportunities to strengthen every aspect of the JCC experience.

Today, those plans have become reality. From new and revitalized gathering spaces to expanded opportunities for wellness, recreation, education, and family engagement, the completed Mission Possible projects position the JCC to continue fostering belonging, connection, and growth for everyone who walks through our doors.

5 Scopes of the project

Pickleball Courts

The J is now home to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Our three regulation-sized outdoor pickleball courts, complete with site lighting and spectator seating, have transformed a once-underutilized space into a vibrant destination for recreation, friendly competition, and community connection. Welcoming players of all ages and skill levels, the courts have quickly become a hub for intergenerational engagement, active lifestyles, and the shared joy of playing together.

Splash pad

Splash Pad

Our outdoor family recreation area has been completely transformed into a vibrant destination for children and families. The former baby pool and sand volleyball court have been reimagined as a modern splash pad featuring interactive water play, outdoor showers, and brand-new playground equipment. A rubberized play surface and upgraded infrastructure enhance safety and accessibility, creating an inviting space where families can cool off, explore, play, and make lasting memories together throughout the summer.

Locker Rooms

The J’s locker rooms have been completely transformed to provide a modern, comfortable, and spa-inspired wellness experience. The renovations include state-of-the-art lockers, updated restroom fixtures and finishes, and new saunas that replace the former steam rooms. These enhancements create a more functional and welcoming environment, elevating the everyday experience for members and guests while complementing the J’s commitment to health, wellness, and quality of life.

Preschool Expansion

To meet the growing needs of young families, the Family Enrichment Center will expand its early childhood programming by converting its multi-purpose room into a new waddlers classroom. The project will also relocate administrative offices and add a dedicated staff restroom, supporting a nurturing, developmentally rich learning environment for our youngest learners.

Cafe and Game Area

The café and game area have been thoughtfully reimagined as an inviting destination for connection and community. Updated interior finishes, comfortable lounge seating, enhanced lighting, and refreshed gathering spaces create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for members of all ages. A dedicated Mah Jongg and social lounge provides the perfect setting to gather with friends, enjoy a game, share a conversation, or simply relax—reinforcing the J as a place where community happens every day.

Pledge Over Time: Make a meaningful impact by spreading your gift over monthly or periodic payments within a 2–3 year timeframe.

Naming Opportunities: Leave a legacy by naming a space in honor of your family, a loved one, or in celebration of someone special.

Donor Advised Funds (DAF): Recommend a gift through your Donor Advised Fund to support the JCC’s future in a simple and tax-efficient way.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD): Make a tax-advantageous gift directly from your IRA if you’re 70½ or older, and help move our mission forward.

Tile Campaign

Set your support in stone – literally

Support the Mission Possible Capital Campaign by painting your own 6×6-inch ceramic tile, which will become part of a permanent mosaic installation at the JCC—an enduring symbol of community, creativity, and commitment.

Tiles are available for a tax-deductible gift of $1,200, or make an even greater impact with a set of 4 tiles for $4,000.
