11/14/2023: Pool Re-opening Set for Monday, November 20th!
The pool project is finished! The plaster went on this past weekend, and the pool will be re-filled, heated and treated throughout the course of this week. If you plan to swim with us, please read on – here is everything you need to know:
- Monday, November 20th will be the official pool reopening date! Visit between 8am and noon to celebrate with coffee and a donut, on us, while they last!
- We will close out November with the fall pool schedule before moving into winter hours; click HERE to view current pool schedule.
- LAP LANE RESERVATION PROCESS WILL BE DIFFERENT! This will streamline the process both on your end AND on ours. See below for a step-by-step guide.
- Winter hours will go into effect December 1st. Those hours are posted below for your reference, and you can also find them on our website.
New Lap Lane Reservation System:
In order to streamline the process of reserving a lap lane both on your end AND on ours, we have implemented a new reservation system for the pool. Please note that lane reservations should not be made more than 48 hours in advance of your swim. Here’s how to reserve your lane:
- You can access the reservation system one of two ways:
- Visit the Aquatics Schedule page of our website and click on the RESERVE A LAP LANE button, OR
- Visit the home screen on your JCC app and click on the RESERVE A LAP LANE banner.
- Confirm that “Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque” is the selected branch
- Click “Schedule a Visit”
- You may be prompted to either log in or to create an account
- Once you are directed to the “Schedule a Visit” page, check the box next to the name of the individual that you are reserving a lane for.
- Check the boxes next to ALL SIX competition pool lap lanes. Then hit the NEXT button.
- From here, you can reserve a maximum of TWO one-hour swim sessions at a time, in half-hour increments.
- View openings at your desired swim time by adjusting your visit time using the drop-down
- When you arrive for your swim, you will need to check in with a lifeguard by scanning your JCC membership card at the lifeguard shack (northwest end of the pool deck).
- Enjoy your swim!
Important Notes:
- We ask that you DO NOT reserve your lane more than 48 hours in advance of your swim day/time.
- If you will not make it in for a reservation, we ask that you please CANCEL your reservation at least one hour prior to your scheduled swim time. You can do this by navigating to the reservation screen, under the day you have reserved, and clicking the option to “Cancel this visit time and book a new one”

9/19/2023: New JCC Pool Winter Hours
There will be a slight adjustment to our pool schedule this winter. Pool Winter Hours will go into effect December 2023 through February 2024.
Pool Winter Hours (December 2023 – February 2024)
Monday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm
Friday-Sunday 9:00am-4:00pm
This adjustment to our pool schedule was decided based on several factors:
- It helps the JCC to staff the pool correctly, which is imperative for the safety of our swimmers.
- It will allow us to do away with the 32-degree rule that has been in place for the past several years.
- It will reduce/eliminate confusion and frustration regarding whether or not the pool is open due to the temperature.
- Based on tracking for February 2023, the pool was more often closed due to temperature than it was open before 9am (80% of the time).
Please note that the pool is still subject to close when weather conditions are dangerous and/or visibility is low (strong winds, heavy snow, etc.) We value our members’ opinions and satisfaction, and this decision was made after careful consideration to all.
