VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Samson Challenge
Description: Volunteers for the Fitness Department will be assisting with our annual Samson Challenge event! The Samson Challenge, which takes place each September, is a unique obstacle course combining endurance, strong-man, CrossFit and adventure race activities all in one.
The event brings in over 200 athletes and even more spectators. Volunteers are needed to help referee the event. Referee training is provided.
Hours: This volunteer position has multiple openings and is needed on the day of the Samson Challenge event. Training will take place prior to the day of the event.

Community Garden
Description: Volunteers for the Community Garden will be assisting with general maintenance of the garden, planting, pruning, composting, and harvesting. These positions will be seasonal, as the garden will be inactive during the winter months. Master gardeners and/or vegetable gurus welcome.
Volunteers may also be needed for future programming and/or garden-related projects.
Hours: This volunteer position has multiple openings and will be available primarily during the Spring & Summer months. Times may vary.

Security
Description: Volunteers for the Security Department will be helping monitor the Family Enrichment Center (FEC) gate for morning and evening drop off/pick up.
When parents arrive to drop off/pick up their kids, the responsibility of the volunteer will be to stand out front and greet them as they enter through the FEC gate. This gate will be propped open while the volunteer stands by it.
*Background check and emergency protocol training will be required for this volunteer position.
Hours: This volunteer position has multiple openings and is available Monday through Friday.
Volunteer Morning hours: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Volunteer Evening hours: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
