Jules understand that each member has a unique clinical musculoskeletal dysfunction. Jules’ goal is to get you back to work, back to exercise, back to play, and back to enjoying life to the fullest!
Jules takes pride in having over 20 years of clinic experience providing the highest quality, evidenced based Physical Therapy care, which he now brings to members of the JCC. Whether it is an acute muscle strain or joint sprain, low back pain, osteoarthritis, post-discharged surgical repair of the spine, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, and ankle, Jules can assist in facilitating your musculoskeletal healing and movement recovery.

Education
Dr. Julius (Jules) Somera received his Physical Therapy degree at the University of New Mexico and later received his Doctorates of Physical Therapy degree at the University at St. Augustine. Dr. Somera is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and is one of the few physical therapists in the state of NM who has successfully achieved a Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine. He is also one the few physical therapists nationwide to earn a Hand Therapy Certification.

Dr. Somera has over 20 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist and served as an officer in United States Air Force. Dr. Somera also holds a black belt in Filipino Martial Arts. He strongly believes that martial arts movement coupled with exercise helps improve cognitive function.
